The roof apartement is located in the part of Berlin which is called "Prenzlauer Berg" - it is the city centre.
Most of the houses which are located there were built at the turn of the last century and are beautifully restorated. You find a lot of old trees and beautifull parcs in this area as well as in the "Kollwitzs"-street where the apartment is located. The street is named following the famous sculptor and painter Käthe Kollwitz who lived in the street for a long time.Near by the "Kollwitz"-street you find the oldest waterworks of Berlin - it is out of order nowadays. The tower has the significance of a landmark for the area of "Penzlauer Berg". If you are staying at "luna y sol" you can see it from the roof terrace.
Have a look at the "Gugelhof", where Bill Clinton had dinner with Gerhard Schröder during his stay in 1999. This restaurant is across from the 'Luna y Sol' Superior Suite.
